The Program
Ivorian global superstar, the Balkan world’s most famous musician, and a Dada-esque experiment take to the main stage. Angels soaring on high, prize winning French theatre companies and deathdefying acrobatics take over Gustav Adolfs torg. Monumental cardboard constructions will be built and torn down on Norrbro. Skeppsbron gathers world music performers and rising stars of folk, jazz and pop at the foot of the Palace. Karl XII:s torg gets a new dancefloor and up on the Kulturhustaket roof terrace, you’ll find films and talks under the stars. Simultaneously, the youth festival, We Are Sthlm, takes over Kungsträdgården with a star-studded line-up by night and an activity-packed programme by day. Stockholm Culture Festival is free entry, takes place 16–21 August, and offers something for all ages.
