This is where you’ll find the festival’s main stage, right in front of the Royal Swedish Opera. Throughout the week, the programme features concerts with both established artists and new names.
Along the waterfront below the Royal Palace, Skeppsbron is home to the festival’s second largest stage. Here, genres like jazz, rap, soul and world music come together in an open and lively setting by the water.
Strömgatan is the festival’s club area. During the day, it hosts workshops with a focus on dance. In the evening, the area transforms into a club, with different concepts in the tent each night, from RnB and Latin to Balkan, country and UK garage. Outside, the Silent Disco continues along the street. Here, it’s all about dancing from day to late evening.
During the day, Kungsträdgården is for children and their parents, with circus, dance, music and theatre across two stages. In the tents, children can create and try different activities, and the mobile library is on site for a quieter moment.
In the evening, the area shifts into a folk park setting with dance bands.
The YOUNG programme takes over with sports, art and music. There’s something happening throughout the day and some activities may also pop up in other parts of the festival. Look out for the YOUNG label in the programme.
Norrbro is the festival’s main food area, located between the Royal Palace and Gustav Adolfs torg. Here you’ll find food and drinks from around the world, whether you’re after something quick or want to sit down for a while.
A new area on Södermalm, close to the water, where stage performances, film, art and dance come together. You can sit down for a while, discover something new or simply pass by. The programme shifts throughout the day and evening, always with something to explore.
A new area where the Catalan festival APLEC visits Stockholm in collaboration with the cultural association Adifolk. More than 1,000 performers bring parades, music, dance and traditional elements to the space. Here you can, among other things, see human towers being built and encounter the large, iconic figures moving through the area.
A new stretch along the waterfront focused on art, crafts and a market. Take a walk, discover new creators and pick up something to bring home. The focus here is on the market, with small-scale makers and handmade work.
