Now the first artists for the Culture Festival 2026 are released
In August, it's time again. From August 12-16, the Culture Festival takes over downtown Stockholm and invites you to five days filled with music, dance, art, food, and activities with free admission and something for everyone.
– We want to continue developing the festival as an obvious meeting place in the city. There should be something for everyone, no matter who you are or what you are interested in, says Linnéa Rosén, festival director.
Now the first artists for this year's festival are being presented and more names will be added continuously.
First artist release
At Gustav Adolfs torg, the festival's largest stage, concerts await with, among others, Otto Knows, Hurula, Greekazo, Konshens (JM), the Royal Opera, RIX FM Festival and the Lebanese pop star Haifa Wehbe (LB).
At Skeppsbron, the musical diversity continues with artists such as Blizzy, Lia Kali (ES), Nektar, Nano Stern (CL), Nailah Blackman (TT), Francamente (IT), SKAI (UA), Mawiza (CL), Arja Saijonmaa (FI), Isabella Lundgren and Åsa Jinder. Here, clubs like Skogsrejv and Demokratiskt dansgolv are also accommodated, and from the boat stage, jazz and world music can be heard.
In Kungsträdgården, as usual, there will be family programs during the day with theater and concerts, including with Junibacken and Bröderna Lindgren. In the evenings, dance bands take over with Streaplers, Lars Kristerz and many more.
At Sergels torg, young people aged 12-19 gather at the YOUTH Culture Festival with live karaoke, film screenings, workshops, gaming, and concerts.
Strömgatan continues as the festival's club and dance area with themed evenings from country, Balkan to Latin and RnB, as well as day parties and workshops in everything from dancehall to K-pop. Silent Disco is back every evening from 18.00-00.00.
At Norrbro and Strömparterren, visitors will find the festival's largest food area with flavors from all over the world.
Three new festival areas 2026
This year's festival is growing and introducing three new areas:
- Slottsbacken, Catalan culture with the traveling Catalan festival APLEC.
- Slussen, live acts, film, art, and dance near the water.
- Skeppsbrokajen, art, crafts, and a market along the quay.
Special program
This year's special feature highlights Catalan culture through the traveling festival APLEC, which visits Stockholm in collaboration with the cultural association Adifolk. Over 1,000 Catalan cultural practitioners and performing artists participate. Acrobats build human towers and pyramids, parades with giant dolls move through the city, and traditional dances and games take place in the festival's various areas.
More artists and program items will be presented continuously.
