Film Screening – Celtic Utopia

Through music and encounters with some of the country’s leading folk musicians, the film portrays an Ireland where tradition, identity, and future are constantly renegotiated.

Directors Dennis Harvey and Lars Lovén depict a society where folk music carries both the memory of a colonial past and visions of the future. The result is a documentary about the role of music in a changing country.
