The saxophonist and composer Håkan Broström meets the pianist, singer, and composer Katarina Kochetova in a duo concert characterized by improvisation, interaction, and original compositions.
Broström has been active on the international jazz scene since the 1970s and has collaborated with artists such as Herbie Hancock, Joe Lovano, McCoy Tyner, and Dee Dee Bridgewater. Katarina Kochetova, born in Kiev and based in Vienna, has since 2014 established herself as one of the prominent younger voices on the European jazz scene.
Together they perform music with influences from modern jazz, modal jazz, and post-bop, where saxophone and piano meet in a close musical dialogue at the Skeppsbro stage on August 14.
The concert is presented in collaboration with Glenn Miller Café.
