In the novel Svinen, John Ajvide Lindqvist tackles what he himself describes as “hillbilly horror”. The conversation revolves around the countryside as a horror setting, the contrast between city and country, and the themes that recur in his writing.

John Ajvide Lindqvist is one of Sweden’s most read and award-winning horror authors, known for books such as Let the Right One In, Handling the Undead, and Harbor.
