Gustav Adolfs Square - Main Stage
Music
When the Radio Symphony Orchestra comes to Gustav Adolf's Square, an evening awaits with music that moves between different times and worlds.
Here, everything from Gershwin’s Summertime and Piazzolla’s Buenos Aires to Hugo Alfvén’s Vallflickans dans meets. The evening continues with Stravinsky’s The Firebird and concludes with Ravel’s Boléro, where the music slowly grows into a powerful crescendo.
The concert will also be Andrés Orozco-Estrada’s first as chief conductor for the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra. The soloist is trumpeter Ellinor Bengtson.
On August 16, the Radio Symphony Orchestra will be on the main stage at Gustav Adolf’s Square.
