YOUNG

YOUNG Culture Festival

At Sergels torg you’ll find the YOUNG Culture Festival – the part of the Culture Festival made especially for those aged 13 to 19.
The festival was called “Ung08” from 2001 to 2013 and later “We Are Sthlm” until 2022, when it became part of the Stockholm Culture festival and moved from Kungsträdgården to Sergels torg.

Here, you can jump into a football tournament, watch movies under the open sky, or gather your courage and sing on our open mic stage.
Meet exciting organizations and businesses, hang out with friends, try out creative workshops, and join fun competitions.
The YOUNG Culture Festival is the place to discover new interests, make new friends, and just have a great time. Come by and experience all it has to offer!

Editorial picks

Live karaoke with a live band
For three days (15–17 August), you can live out your artist dreams and sing karaoke, not to a backing track, but with a real band. Step onto the stage in the heart of Stockholm, win prizes and have fun, whether you’re a seasoned performer or just want to try it out.

Dance like nobody’s watching
Throughout the festival, you can try street dance with Kulturskolan, or join an open dance workshop on 17 August with influences from both contemporary and theatrical dance. The evening continues with a jam session hosted by DJ CHEZA. More into Latin rhythms? Don’t miss the high-energy Zumba session, a dance party to salsa and reggaeton that’s open to all ages. No experience needed, just show up as you are.

Avicii Experience and ABBA The Museum
In their tent, you’ll dive into the stories behind two of Sweden’s biggest music legends. Test your knowledge, sing along to timeless hits, and hit the dance floor. Whether you’re team Dancing Queen or Wake Me Up, you’re welcome to join and just enjoy.

Outdoor movie nights
On 13–14 August, the festival offers open-air movie nights – perfect for a relaxed summer evening in the city. Bring your friends, something to sit on, and a few snacks. On screen: beloved classics like Shrek and Kung Fu Panda.

Silent Disco
As night falls, head to Strömgatan where the dance floor lights up,  without speakers. Put on your headphones, pick your channel and dance to your own rhythm. You control the music, no one else. A perfect way to end the day.

Loads of concerts and live performances
What’s a festival without music? Every day, the festival features a packed lineup of concerts and live acts. Look out for the UNG label in the program! This year’s acts include Ricky Rich, L1NA, Olivia Lobato and Norway’s own russ king Kudos. Ideal if you want to discover something new or hear your favorites live.
