Film Screening – Azuro
A French film about a summer vacation where life slowly falls out of balance.
A summer by the Mediterranean. The heat lies heavy over the small village between the sea and the mountains where a group of friends spend their vacation as they usually do. The days are filled with food, drink, and idleness, while a forest fire slowly approaches in the background.
When an unknown man suddenly arrives from the sea, the atmosphere changes and the relationships within the group begin to shift.
Azuro is director Matthieu Rozé’s film adaptation of a text by Marguerite Duras, a story about longing, desire, and people seeking to escape everyday life.
The film is shown at the Water Square stage. Take a seat on the bleachers at the Water Square and experience the film under the open sky.
The film screening is presented in collaboration with the French Institute.
