Skeppsbron - The Boat Stage
Music
Two voices from Casamance meet in a musical conversation between kora and guitar.
Lamine Cissokho and Mariaa Siga have their roots in Casamance in southern Senegal, a region with a rich and vibrant musical culture. In their music, traditions from the Diola and Mandinka peoples meet in an expression that unites heritage, improvisation, and the contemporary.
On stage, Mariaa Siga’s voice and guitar meet Lamine Cissokho’s kora in a close interplay where listening and improvisation are central. The result is music with strong presence and emotional depth.
On August 14, they will be on the boat stage at Skeppsbron.
The concert is presented in collaboration with Stallet Världens musik.
