For over 40 years, Väsen has been one of Sweden's most appreciated folk music bands.
The duo, consisting of Olov Johansson and Mikael Marin, moves between traditional Uppland folk music and their own musical expression where the nyckelharpa and bass viola are at the center. Their interplay is tight, playful, and full of details.
On the album Waves from 2025, the music draws inspiration from water, islands, and movements through the landscape, something that fits especially well on the festival’s boat stage.
On August 12, the duo will be on the boat stage at Skeppsbron.
The concert is presented in collaboration with Stallet World Music.
