Mawiza is a metal band with roots in the Mapuche culture in Chile, where heavy riffs meet lyrics in Mapudungun, the language of the Mapuche people.
The band has gained international attention for their album Ül, which has been praised by, among others, Rolling Stone and Metal Hammer. In recent years, they have toured around Europe and played at several major metal festivals.
On August 16, metal, indigenous tradition, language, and culture meet when Mawiza performs on the Skeppsbro stage.
